Flowerama Drama
Okay, I am VERY unpleased with my experience at Flowerama so far.
My bridesmaids and I went to the shop in Elmont back in October to order their dresses. I told the staff that I needed the dresses in March, b/c one girl is using another seamstress, another girl lives in PA, etc. They said this would not be a problem at all.
About a month later, I get something in the mail saying they moved to Ridgewood, Queens. Whatever, no biggie-- it's further than the Elmont store, but whatever. It would have been nice if they told me when we ordered the dress that they were moving, but whatever.
I called the Ridgewood store in the beginning of March, and I was told the dresses would be in the 3rd week of March. I called back the 2nd week of March, and was told that something happened to the order and the dresses are still in China!!!
Now, this poses a new problem, because one of my bridesmaids is moving to Nashville VERY soon. The woman at the shop was very rude to me and told me 'If worst comes to worst, we'll have the girls come in the day before your wedding for a fitting, it's no big deal'.... !!!!!
Then, I get a phone call this past Monday from one of the supervisors telling me they contacted the manufacturer and told them about my situation with my bridesmaid moving to Tenn., and she told me that 'Definitely 100%' the dresses will be in by this Thursday. She told me there is a shot they will be in on Tuesday or Wednesday, but they will '100% definitely' be in by Thursday at latest.
Today, my girls come over and we're about to take the long drive out to Ridgewood. I decide to call the shop to find out if we need an appointment, only to discover that THE DRESSES ARE NOT YET IN! My girls drove all the way over to my apartment, and we find out the dresses aren't in!
So I pretty much went off on Flowerama, told them that I want some sort of compensation for all of my trouble.
Now I know that a few brides have had trouble with Flowerama before, and I was wondering if any of you could share your stories with me (FM me if you'd rather do it that way) of how you got your issues resolved. And NO, Flowerama, it is NOT okay to do my bridesmaids' alterations THE DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING!!!!!
