I absolutely fell in love and was totally floored with Flowerfield this past Sat. To be fair I would like to know anything people did not like or thought they could improve upon. No matter how small a detail you may think it may be I'd sincerely appreciate any input. My fiancee went there on her first round of visits to place. Then I went to Watermill, NRC, and then finally Flowerfield. Having 2 more places she wants to go see we have plans to go on Sat. and Sun. I wanted to book this past Sunday after meeting with Meaghan and having our questions answered. They really seemed very flexible on what your options were.
Please forum email me if you have time. The wedding date we want is in Sept. 2005 but as everyone knows it only takes a day for your day to be closed out.
Any vendor recommendations would help also.
Thanks to all who took the time to read this .
Thanks for everyones honest epinions on here. Best wishes for those still engaged like ourselves and to those who have gotten married already.

Re: Flowerfield === Any thoughts?
I was seriously considering getting married here...but decided against it...only because how far it was for our families to get to (most of my family would be coming from PA). That's the only negative I could think of.
I'm so excited though because one of my FH's friends is getting married there next June!
Good Luck!!!

Re: Flowerfield === Any thoughts?
Only negative here is....it's very far and for those not familar with taking the back way, will get lost.
Watermill is nice, but has more than one wedding while you're there.
NRC is actually a wonderful place, plenty of places to take your pics and easy to get too for your guests.
NRC has my vote

Re: Flowerfield === Any thoughts?
I am getting married there next November and I can't wait. I go there all the time just to look around:) My church is in Malverne but we still did not care how far it was from there. I find it very easy to get to and I saw nothing that (in my opinion only) could compare. The only negative I heard was when the dessert carts come around there is only 1 cart per 3 tables and by the time it get's to your table all of the good stuff is gone. I am calling tomorrow if this is true. But what do I care, I'll be too busy dancing Good luck with whatever decision you make!

Re: Flowerfield === Any thoughts?
I've been to 2 weddings there and the place is absolutely amazing. It was well worth the drive. I didn't think it was THAT far -- or complicated to find. The food is AMAZING-the grounds are beautiful and the service is awesome! If you can afford it GO FOR IT! I would!

Re: Flowerfield === Any thoughts?
I had my wedding there and absolutely have nothing but positive things to say. It was worth every penny I spent. They go over and above on your day to make sure everything is perfect. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Flowerfield.

Re: Flowerfield === Any thoughts?
My FSIL is getting married there in December of 2004 and she took me to see it, it's beautiful. I would negociate with the price or see if they can throw in extra's for you. I don't think you would have any regrets book Flowerfield.
I was a lovin oven bride (Lands End) and you just get top notch service from them...
you won't regret the decision...the only negative would be price...but you get your money's worth!!! the food is spectacular, service fantastic and attention!!!

Re: Flowerfield === Any thoughts?
We are getting married there next April. I did alot of research, and heard nothing but overwhelming positives. We worked with Meaghan, and she's been great. They were flexible on the price (a little), and any little extras or changes we asked for they were more than happy to accomodate. She's been patient with all my annoying questions along the way! I m absolutley thrilled, and couldn't be more comfortable with my choice. It is a little expensive, but so worth it IMO. As far as vendor recommendations, we did work off their list, as I trust their judgement, but if you want specifics, or if there is anything I can help you with, please feel free to FM me!
Good Luck!

Re: Flowerfield === Any thoughts?
I got married there two years ago ( geez how time flies) and it was THE BEST ! My guests still talk about it to this day saying how it was the nicest wedding they have ever been to . They went overboard catering to our every need. The service is wonderful , the food great -- and it is such a beautiful place! Yes -- it was a little pricey-- but we cut back on other costs-- such as limos-- we got married at flowerfield -- we all got dressed there -- so we did not need limos. Also we had a day wedding which was a little less $$... There are so many beautiful places to get married on LI.... Of courses I am going to rave about Flowerfield...LOL
