Hi Flowerfield brides! It's hard to tell from the online reviews, so hopefully I can enlist your help. Which of the recommended hotels is the best for blocking rooms and possibly having a little after party? Thank you!

Re: Flowerfield Brides - need hotel advice!
Hello fellow FF bride! Unfortunately we haven't gotten into the hotel blocking stuff yet, all I know is which 2 of the recommended ones have the free shuttles. Maybe you can get some better info at the Showcase on the 29th? They might have the hotel people there.

Thanks! I'll be at the showcase, looking forward to it. I actually threw the same question out to my FB friends, and it's basically between the Islandia Marriott and the Hyatt Regency...the Hyatt looks nicer, but the Marriott seems to have better reviews...I will have to call up both and ask questions, and I'll report back!

Sounds great! If I happen to hear any information in doing hotel research, I will definitely share. Can't wait for the showcase!!

I'm scared the Hyatt might be pricey for people. How much are they charging per room?
Is the Holiday Inn in Stonybrook decent?

I used the Holiday Inn in Stony Brook and I thought it was great. Closer than the Hyatt and the rooms were bigger too. Also cheaper and included a continental breakfast for my guests, which the Hyatt did not include. They also allowed us to have an after party.

I actually got a higher price quote from the Holiday Inn in Stony Brook by $40. The Hyatt was less a little less than $100 per room.

I actually got quoted $40 more at the Holiday Inn Stonybrook, than the Hyatt (which was less than $100 per room). We went with the Hyatt. They have a hotel bar that is open late too, and since our wedding ends at midnight they are keeping the bar open even later for us.

Unrelated to the hotels, are any other FF brides going to the showcase on Sunday? FH and I are so excited to go!
