Flowerfield - Cocktail Hour Music
What are other Flowerfield brides doing for their music at the cocktail hour? I`m having a problem finding someone that is willing to come for just an hour and not charge me a crazy amount of money. I either want a classical music trio or someone to play the piano with a fluitest. Any suggestions are appreciated!!

I lucked out my Djs wife is a classical pianist /singer . she is charging 250/hr.. Ask the girls @ Flowerfield they had given me a card for some guy I forget his name but he plays the piano. I'm just going to 'basic' cocktail hour music. Good Luck!

Hey- i emailed you about an band for cocktail that you might be interested in. 1 of sorority sisters posted the info on our site. i don`t know if you`ll check this board or your email first, so i`ll send it to both places. here`s the post: i wanted to let you know that my orchestra plays beautiful music for ceremonies and cocktail hours. for the ceremony we get there early and play classical music while people enter the church (bach, pachabel, vivaldi) and then whatever you select for the bridal party to walk down the isle (we used evergreen and pachabel canon) and for the bride. then we play 'wedding march' or whetever you select as you leave the church as the happy couple!! For the cocktail hour we play everything from pop and show tunes, to jazz and mambo- if anyone is interested it is called the new found sound, and shirley gutmann is the conductor. she is based in manhasset (516-627-8703) and has people come listen all the time. if you haven`t booked music for the cocktail hour, you might want to consider it! good luck!

Hi. I used a harpist who was very reasonable. The only hitch is that she is only in the U.S. occasionally. I could try to dig out her phone number for you (it`s actually the number of a friend of hers who is in Queens (I think)). I offered her $200 for the hour and she took it right off. I could have kicked myself for not offering her less from the beginning. She was excellent but it`s not exactly what you had in mind. I thought it was very elegant. Let me know if you want the number.
