I had my niece try on dresses two Weeks ago. She was so excited! I let her pick what ever she wanted, and I picked to. Well she tried on one dress that was so pretty, me and my sister loved it. My niece was not so crazy about it. My niece put on one dress that she loved!!!!!! I mean she sat on the floor and begged me to get the dress she liked. Me and my sister were not crazy about it. Its cute, but not as nice as others I have seen. Well, I saw my niece the other day, and she is still asking about the dress.
She is six yrs old! Should I get her the dress she wants, or be a mean aunt, and pick my own. I can't believe how much kids remember.

Re: Flowergirl question??
Kids remember EVERYTHING!!!! Sometimes it's totally annoying other times cute I think I would probably try to get her to go shopping with you again at a different store. Then maybe she could find a different dress that she likes as much, or more, and that you defiantly like better. Remember it is your wedding...but you dont want a poopy FG on your wedding day who is still talking about the dress that YOU wouldn't let her get
Hey I just noticed that you are getting married the day after me Yeah for us

Re: Flowergirl question??
I am sure she will be a cutie in either dress, so just let her get the one she wants. She will have a bigger smile on that day.

Re: Flowergirl question??
I am going to bring her to a few more stores, and let her try on more dresses. Maybe she will find one she likes better, if not I will let her get her way. What ever makes her happy!! She is so beautiful anyway, she will look cute in anything.

Re: Flowergirl question??
Are you kidding? Kids remember everything, especially at that age. My FG is my niece and she's 6 too. I see her just about every weekend when my sister comes over and every single time, she asks me when we are going to go get her dress. I feel it's a bit early yet because she may get taller in the next few months and I want to make sure her dress fits properly. She gets so angry when I tell her she has to wait until next year.

Re: Flowergirl question??
What if before you take her shopping the next time you have already gone to the store & pre-selected dresses for her to try on. Then she will be able to pick the dress (and be happy with it) and you will definitely like it because you originally picked it.
I don't know if it will actually work but it is an idea. Good Luck!

Re: Flowergirl question??
I think taking her shopping again is a good idea. Maybe before she gets there take the dress you are talking about away (so she won't press on it again). If she still does not like any other dress but that one, then you may want to consider giving in...she is a real cutie so she will look gorgeous no matter what! Maybe she will find another dress that she likes better...and that you really like too!

Re: Flowergirl question??
Honestly, this is the exact problem I KNEW I would hve with my niece when we picked her dress, so I just picked all the dresses and let her pick her favorite from those.

I am going to give it one more try, hope it works. If not, she will wear her dress!!

Re: Flowergirl question??
Your mistake was to involve her in the decision process to begin with, but as a Mom, let me tell you that you can very easily turn this around to your favor. Maybe the dress she liked is unavailable, wink wink and only let her try on dresses that YOU love.
