Flowers

I just wanted to share that we booked our florist yesterday. We are using James Cress in Smithtown. I am so excited. They were very helpful. Had lots of pictures to show. And everything looked absolutely beautiful. One less thing to worry about now!!!

I had a quick question? I saw that your wedding is next June and you already booked your florist. We are also going to book with James Cress. Our wedding isn't until next August, and since we live in North Carolina, we weren't going to book them until January. (That's the next time we'll be up there) Did they say how far in advance to book them??? Did you just want to get that out of the way? Any info would be great. Thanks!

I love James Cress but are they expensive? I haven't checked them out for my wedding yet - would you mind sharing pricing information and what you get for that price? Thanks

Answer to you ?? Melissa

They did not specify how far in advance tobook. Mr. Cress was incredibly nice, and didn't hassle us for a payment right away (which I thought was awesome). He said all they require is a deposit and then you can make your payments as you go. When I gave him the wedding date, he didn't say that he thought we were booking a little late. I just wanted to get the flowers out of the way, and on to the next adventure. Good luck with your planning. E-mail me if you have any other questions at [email protected]

Flowers

I don't have the contract with me as I am at work (seems this wedding and this site have become my life. Anyone else feel like that???) But he did cover everything, from my bouquet, to my MOH, my 5 bridesmaids, corsages (moms, grandmas, and godmothers), flower girl baskets, boutinniers, centerpieces, 2 columns of altar flowers, pedestals at the end of the pews (or in my case, the line of chairs, since I am getting married at John Anthonys). We also added in extras, like flowers on the cocktail hour tables, on the table where the place settings are, in the bathroom, on the cake, and on me and my FI's table. I know I am leaving things out, but this is what came to me off the top of my head. He gave us a total price, including set-up and delivery, for just under $4,000.00. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions...
