Flowers..

Hi girls. So I booked most of my major vendors and I was wondering if anyone booked their florist without first choosing their BM dresses?

Hey Nat! I booked my florist without my choosing my bridesmaids dresses 1st. I knew the color scheme I was going for and that's all I really needed.

I booked with John at Flower Michele. I love, love, love them! totally worked within my budget! he's such a doll!

i HIGHLY recommend checking out Burton's! they are the same price for any flower, and therefore it's okay if you don't know the colors yet for your BM dresses! plus they have awesome rates

I booked my florist before I even picked out my dress. As long as you love their work, you can always figure out the colors afterwards.

I visited 3 florists while in NY recently. I DO know my colors. But, one florist told me it's sill to book so early and decide on your flowers. He said he couldn't give me an honest quote on flowers, since prices change...that made me concerned but I appreciated his honesty.
Another florist told me 'I had plenty of time'. There are sooooo many florists out there. I wouldn't be too concerned.

I hadnt picked my dresses or colors yet when I booked my florist. It was ok though b/c I knew what flowers I wanted and just match the dress to it...which was king of tough but it worked out

I booked my florist but still don't have my BM dresses. I know what colors so that is how I planned the flowers.

I was told that the popular florists book up really quickly so you should book them just to reserve the date. You don't have to commit to anything but you can get a general idea about prices, etc. I recently booked mine without the BM dresses but have a general idea of my color scheme.

You aren't booked into the color when you book a florist. So go ahead and make sure you love their work. You can definetly pick a BM dress after the florist! They can change the color to whatever you want.

I booked my florist very early on ... all I knew was where the wedding is and that I thought I might do a fall color scheme ...

Many brides change their minds anyway as the wedding gets closer, so I don't think it matters ...

I would suggest just knowing stuff like this:

How many in the bridal party for boutineers and bouquets,

How many fathers/step fathers/grandfathers need boutineers,

How many mothers/step mothers/Grandmothers need corsages.

What flowers are needed for ceremony.

How many centerpieces and what additional flowers for reception, like bathrooms, card tables, cake, passing trays, throw away bouquet...

If there is anything you like I highly suggest bringing photos. They will also have photos to show you.

They'll of course ask you what your budget is.
