Hi! I had such a bad experience today looking for flowers. I was sold on Miller Place Florist because I saw them at a bridal showcase at the Miller Place Inn and loved them. I went to the shop on Saturday and was so disappointed. The owner was not very helpful. She kept asking me the names of flowers I like ( I have NO idea what anything is called and I told her this) and her suggestions were minimal. I felt like she wanted me to design my own centerpiece when she was the professional. Also, when we walked in it smelled very strange. Certainly not like flowers. Well, about five minutes after we arrived, the woman at the counter began spraying Fabreeze everywhere to 'cover up the smell from the deli next door'. Call me strange, but wouldn't the smell of flowers do that???! Any suggestions on great florists in the Suffolk area? Thanks!

I am using M n F florist in E. Islip. At first I wasn't thrilled with having to drive cross island (I'm on the no. Shore) but it was so totally worth it. I worked with Maggie and Barbara, they are both fabulous. I am an avid gardener, but they totally made great suggestions to help me stay within my budget. The experience you told seems the polar opposite of what I had. I would totally recommend them to anyone.

Try With All My Heart. They were in Port Jeff Station, but they just moved to the Inn at Eastwind. They were great to work with.

I am using Designs by Rose - they're based out of Howard Beach so it wasn't too far for me. They really worked with my budget and are top notch when it comes to service and quality!

I'm using Flower Michele which is in Nassau but if you need a florist based in Suffolk. I highly recommend La Blossom. Laurie rocks!

I am also using With All My Heart, they are great...I sat with the owner for an hour 1/2 discussing what I liked!

Lovin Oven...my sister used them last year for her wedding. She had no clue about flowers but they were so helpful. Definitely check them out!
