Flowers?

Flowers?

Ok .. I was looking over my budget.. we are going to meet with a DJ tom. and then my other major vendor that's yet to be checked off the list is a florist...So here's my question.. since i'm doing my own centerpieces and i don't think i'm gonna do flowers in the church( may do my own DIY thing for the pews and some tulle ..that's it..) because it's beautiful... and i'm trying to stick to a budget... how much do you think i'll wind up spending on....

~ my bo-k
~ my MOH - bo-k
~Matron of Honor bo-k
~4BM bo-ks
then bouts for the
Groom
BM and 3 GMs

The maybe a small arrangement for the flower girl.. and my mom and gramdna's corsage?
Do you think it's possible to do it all for 8 or 9 hundred???
i know some have said BM bo-ks range from $50- $75 .. but i'm not sure.. i haven't done much florist research yet..

I really don't wanna spend too much more on flowers... any ideas of a good florist who could give me a great deal?

the average cost of a bridal bouquet is about $150. average cost for attendant bouquets are $65. boutonniers about $10 each, corsages $25 each. i think you can definitely stick within your budget.

I need exactly what you need. My RH provides the centerpieces, so I don't have to worry about that. I want to spend exactly what you do. I was going to go to Pedestals and price them. Maybe Tim's in Massapequa Park. Florist is my last vendor that I have to book and I've been puttiing it off bc I'm so overbudget and I'm dreading the bill.

You can DEFINITELY do it on under $800. The CPs is where the florist ends up costing a lot. Persnal flowers arent as much.

I am using roses and hydrangeas. I got a quote for my bo-k, throw bo-k, 1 MOH, 3 MBs, groom boot + 7 other boots, and 4 corsages for $487. from a florist in Island Park (FM me if you want the info)

and the same flowers for $667 from flower michelle.

Tims in Massapequa gave me a quote of $713, but for tulips for girls instead of roses.

I heard that sometimes the larger the florist, the cheaper b/c they buy in bulk and can charge less.

We booked w/ J A C K AND R O S E because they came in almost $1000 less than all the rest and we need CPs.

Re: Flowers?

thanks ladies..that's awesome! I already went over budget on 1 or 2 of my vendors.. so i really don't want to blow it on flowers since i don't need many!!! If i do opt to go with something for the church it will be very small and simple.. i just don't think it needs much to look beautiful... the bo-ks and stuff are def. much more important to me and i can do my own decorations for the cake table, and place cards...etc. I really wanted that romantic candle lit look.. so now i'm happy..lol!!!
