Flowers

Does anyone know anything about ordering flowers in bulk from costco? I just read a post on the knot where a bride was ordering around 20 dozen roses from costco (at $12.99 for two dozen) for her centerpeices. The person in charge of ordering the flowers at costco does this for weddings or other parties.

I was thinking of doing this b/c I don't want to spend a lot of money on flowers. I have gotten roses from costco before and they have always been fabulous. I thought I could order them for my centerpeices (and still have my florist do everything else - bouquets, corsages, bouts, ect,) and have my florist arrange them. My florist quoted me anywhere from $2-4 dollars per rose, if I went through her, so I thought this option fit my budget a little better.

Can anyone give me some thoughts? Is this a good idea? Why or why not? Thanks for your help!

Re: Flowers

I think it's a great idea! The roses at Costco and BJ's are always so beautiful! Is your florist alright with you doing this?

Re: Flowers

I haven't asked my florist yet but she seems really cool and laid back so I can foresee there being a problem. Plus I would still pay her for arranging them and for doing everything else! Thanks!

Re: Flowers

You may want to do a little more research on this...flowers from supermarkets and delis are a different grade than florist flowers.
