Flowers

Flowers

My FMIL owns a flower shop in New Hamp--they just opened their second location and they are looking to expand further. She wants to start a DIY flowers website----She would make herself available to brides and offer her suggestions and ship the flowers to you. She pretty much was wondering if it was worth it---do you think that many brides would be willing to do their own flowers???? TIA

Re: Flowers

I wanted to at first so I went to the flower district to see what's out there & I realized that it's just too much work for a short period of time so I decided not to do it.
If youre working with real flowers you have to have the space & the people to make 20 (or how ever many) centerpieces, 5 boquets, bootineers & all that, it was just not worth it.
But there may be some people who would give it a shot. If one girl did it & posted how easy it is, it could catch on

I agree with the PP I think if someone wanted to do it and had the space it could work. But without the space I dont know how well it would work. Even if a bride DIY just her boks that saves alot of $ in the end. I think it could work~it will just take time to get big

It is a nifty idea- I think some diy brides would love it. I agree with the other girls in saying that you need alot of space- refrigerator space which is tough!

I did my e-party arrangements and that was tough! I did thm late the night before and we had a spare fridge in the basement and put them in there. I did leave one arrangement out and that one looked a bit sad the next day- not bad but not as fresh looking
