Flowers
So FH and I would really like to get our flowers booked by the end of the year, mostly because I know prices usually increase every year and we are on a TIGHT budget (I say it like that because I've gone over budget on almost everything so far.. WHOOPSY!) We have appointments with Flowers by Burton and Hidden Essence because I've heard they're the most reasonable pricing. My mom also wants us to go to Ribbons and Roses in Commack because she knows the woman who owns it but I'm weary because they don't do JUST weddings.. they're a regular florist (but small--mom and pop style). We're looking to stay within a $2K budget.. MAX $2500 and we need 18 centerpieces (alternating high & low), 1 bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 4 corsages, & 9 boutonnieres (sp?).
Is it possible? Am I setting myself up for failure and a FH meltdown? Anybody have quotes for these places?

I'd love it, if you're willing.. they're one of my venue's preferred vendors.

Those mom and pop shops r great!! I know allot of people that did that. Also check out blooming floral designs in Lindenhurst. I needed 21 pieces with out centerpieces. I told her small bouquets for bm like 4 long stemmed calla lilies. No bridal bouquet bc I made my own brooch bouquet. She said she could do it for under $300. She told me type if flower and season make a difference!. Roses r in season all year that's why they r common at weddings. Donating like a daisy is cheaper option. Hope that helps!!

That's actually really helpful.. I domt know anything about flowers except that they make me sneeze so that's good to know that roses are in season all year long. It's good to know it can be done on a budget. If I don't keep this under budget I think fh might just stroke out lol
