How are they? Are they expensive

I got quotes from 13 florists in total (both 'wedding vendors' and local florists), and they were the most expensive.

eta: I met with Joseph Campbell on Jericho Turnpike in Mineola (At least I think its mineola - there's a new town every 20 feet over there :hah)

He quoted me $6000 and told me that was 'very reasonable'

I met with someone there and without knowing what kind of flowers I wanted or any details of the day he came up with an exact quote to the cent...it was some absurd number...How is that possible??

The quote I got from them was higher than Pedastals (who we chose), but when my aunt met with flowers by brian she got a lower quote than she received from Pedastals...so my feeling is that if you have the time to meet with a vendor it can't hurt

You have to meet with them. I met with Flowers Michelle and United Floral and the Flowers by Brian. We ended up going with Flowers by Brian because he was the cheapest. Definatlely meet with them,

Wow I'm surprised by all these responses... We went to 4 or 5 florists and the CHEAPEST we got was from brian! We worked with Joseph and he made it out for $2375+tax... and that was church, RH and personal.. and he threw in ALOT for free too...

we ended up booking a different florist simply bc my MOM liked them lol and wanted to give them the business even though they were $600 more...

I got a quote of $5,000 from them which included:
20 CPs
7 BM bo-k
Church baskets and pew bows
5 corsages
bride's bo-k
(also the way they 'worked' with my budget was removing 5 flowers from the CPs and reducing it by $50!!!)
The rest he said he was 'throwing in' like
boutoneirs
Presentation to the blessed mother
throw-away bo-k
cake
petals to throw

I got a quote from another place drastically cheaper

Sorry, i must add - they do gorgeous work, but i just felt i was being way overcharged for the name

My flowers were stunning BUT they messed up!!!

They did compensate me for their mistake, but only after I complained

My girlfriend used them for her wedding and her flowers were beauitful!! I know she paid a ton of money which was ok for her because her parents paid for the entire wedding. I would love to use him if the price was right.

They keep leaving messages on my phone even though I chose my florist months ago. That's all I know about them. I got one tonight.

Didn't mean to sound bitter, I just keep getting calls from the same vendors like every two weeks and they're one of them. How can everyone be the 'preferred florist' of the VYC?!

We booked FBB. Brian is great to work with. My quote was pretty reasonable and in line with the other quotes I got.

I loved flowers by brian. They may be a little more expensive than some others, but they are worth every penny. They have a great reputation.

me too I wasn't really sure what I wanted when I went in there, and he asked me a few simple questions and I felt that he really got the idea of how I was envisioning my wedding. He was VERY helpful, and even my FH loved him!
