I've heard rave reviews about flowers by burton ere so I've booked an appointment with him. I know he goes by number of pieces and not types of flowers which is great because I'm not a flower fanatic & we only have a Maid of Honor & a Best Man probably alot of centerpieces (15-17)..but does he decorate the church?? I really want an altar built and alot of those trees that bloom white flowers (don't know what they're called). How much do you guys think that will run me?

yes they will decorate the church. they gave us a good price but I was concerned with going with them as while it goes by the pieces you need, to me if you want more expensive flowers then you'll get less of them. I'm assuming that of course, but I don't see how they could make money otherwise.

i booked with flowers by burton - they have been nothing but helpful so far and their price was so much better than everyone elses - good luck with booking

I went to see Michael from Burtons, he was good, but I eventually booked with Jen from Verbena, she does amazing things and its a much warmer meeting. And the price came out to be the same since you must pay the tax at Burtons. I was originally going to go with Burtons, but then met with Jen and was amazed at her ability and how she got my vision to the tee! If you have only met with Burtons, check out some other places before you sign on the dotted line!

Sorry, just an addition, my friend went to go and see him, and she was told that they just drop off the flowers, that they dont do much else. When I spoke with them, he said he would 'set up' the church. With Burtons they do more than one wedding per day, Verbena only does one wedding per day and she is also an Event Designer, meaning that if you really want the church done up, she's the one to do it, or someone else who does that as well as flowers.

I second Verbena....she has an album full of church decorations she's done and it's absolutely breath-taking!! My fiance and I checked out 7 other florists and Verbena was a perfect match for us.

well i listened to your advice and i just got off the phone with Jennifer at Verbena - I already felt a difference dealing with her - I made my appt for next week with her! I will keep you girls updated!

I also met with burton and have seen there work, they do a nice job, but exactly I was not comphy ther & I went with a gut and met with flower barn & felt so great when I walked out I went the next day & booked.
