I have heard wonderful things about Flowers by Emil and even better things about their pricing....
My question is: my ceremony is in East Islip, the reception is in Massapequa. Flowers by Emil is in Brooklyn...does this just not make sense logistically?
Also, I am planning my wedding from MA and only come home 1 weekend a month (2 if I have to) to do planning....my parents live in western Suffolk....I am just not sure whether or not I should make the trek out to Brooklyn...
Opinions please!

Re: Flowers by Emil?
Jamie,
My ceremony & reception are both in Woodbury. I'll be getting ready in Melville. My FI will be getting ready in Brooklyn. Flowers by Emil has been doing so many LI weddings as of late, that I felt confident that everything would be just fine. Initially, I wanted to use a LI florist. Flowers by Emil has been around for such a long time that I cannot imagine they'd allow anything to go wrong.
Carmine (the owner of Flowers by Emil) knows about the multiple delivery sites. The men's flowers go to Brooklyn, bouquets & corsages to Melville, and all else gets set up in Woodbury. I can honestly say that this is the vendor I have the most confidence in.
I can understand your dilemma since I felt the same way. After meeting with Carmine, I felt so at ease that I haven't the smallest of concerns that the flowers will be just fine.

Thanks for the info NYTherapist...
I am just nervous about the flowers...I loved Flowers by Michelle, but would like to save some money and it sounds like I could with Flowers by Emil...
I just worry when I will have the time to get into Brooklyn to meet with him....

Carmine is a pro. He does multiple deliveries. My ceremony is in Brooklyn and the reception is in LI and it's no problem. I really reccommend him.

Re: Flowers by Emil?
I also am wondering when I will find the time to go into Brooklyn to meet with a vendor when I am already stressed enough about planning while living out-of-state!
So frustrated!

Jamie, as much as I love Carmine, I think it'll be easier for you to use a florsit closer to your parents' home. You seem to be getting stressed at the thought of traveling to Brooklyn, so maybe it's not the best idea. I'm sure you can find someone comparable in price somewhere closer to your parents' house.

I love Carmine so much and know that he will do a beautiful job for you and travel wherever he needs to but if you stressed just to travel to Brooklyn then I would see if you can find someone closer to ease the stress on you. But if you decide to meet with Carmine, you will not be disappointed.
