Personally, I think you should all file a police report now just so they have it on file. If you wait, it might come back to bite you in the asss! I'm not sure if there's a statute of limitations or anything!

ETA: Then again, the police might tell you there's nothing they can do and that it's a civil matter- breach of contract.

ITA! File a report! It's a paper trail! Belive it or not it's very important. At some point you may be asked if you ever filed a complaint of some sort.!

marbear, does your contract say non-refundable? was gina totally not open to settling this with you?

For some reason, mine doesn't say non-refundable..

Hey girls -

So I called her on Sunday evening on her office number (garage) - anyway - she answered the phone with a raspy voice and I was like?????? hello?????? she said it was her and that she was in a terrible car accident - (I honestly didn't think someone could make something like that up...but I guess she could!) Anyway...she told me that she was in the hospital for 10 days also. She said that her daughter was injured badly and she didn't want to leave her side. She said that two days later, she collapsed and was rushed by her brother, to the hospital from a collapsed lung. She talked for about 10 minutes- and she offered to meet with me - she brought up the dwi and said 'people need to get their facts straight' please tell the other girls what really happened..........I'm a dope! Why did I believe it?! I am definitely not going to use her - I can't after all the shadiness -

What happened when you met with her (whoever said they were... )

Its just odd that some brides said they went to her house and saw her daughter perfectly healthy. And that her mom and brother both told girls to go with another florist since they hadnt heard from her.

Tell her youd like to see a copy of the police report, and hospital discharge papers as proof of her story. I find it all kinda odd with such a 'horrific accident' that it didnt make any newspapers.

I personally spoke to Gina.. have some compassion, it was an incident that involved her daughter!!! It s terrible that brides went without flowers for their day, but at the end of the day, a child's life was at risk! I'm not changing vendors, she is a sweet woman and with all of her background experience and references, all which are positive and unfortunately she was faced by a life threatening experience..

i'm sorry but if you keep her as a vendor you're dumb. she wasn't really in a car accident - don't you get that? people went to her house and saw her daughter with their own two eyes and she was fine! she's a liar and won't show up to your wedding with your flowers, but that's your risk to take.

I was the August 28th bride that was promised regardless of the accident, she would hire assistants and have the flowers delivered. She assurred me the Monday before the wedding.

Noone called, showed up on my weddding day. If it wasnt for smart common sense 2 days before the wedding, where I found another florist, I would of never had flowers. Its not about compassion anymore, this lady lied to me and my husband to be. Please find another florist, I am not even kidding around. My name is Emelisa and I got married at Jericho Terrace. If you speak to her, ask her what happened to my flowers and you'll see for yourself she will prob lie to you.

I think you are catching the tail end of these posts. Many other posters also felt the same way you do after the initial failure to show at babs wedding.

However, since then, there has been evidence from many brides that there WAS NO CAR ACCIDENT. These brides didn't just 'speak' with her as you did, they went to her house and spoke to her mother, brother who both say the car accident was a lie. One bride saw her 'critically injured' daughter just fine.

Gina has also failed to show SINCE then with no call.

I had sympathy for her at the beginning but now I think she is scum. Sorry.

I hope you make the right decision for yourself.

Not every single accident makes the paper. I was in a horrific car accident when I was 17, my jeep was split in 2 pieces on the LIE and I never made the news or the paper.

Her daughters leg was bruised up when I saw her. You all can believe and do whatever you want. There is no need for calling brides 'dumb' if they stay with her. Life is choices. Let people make their own choices whether you think they are right or wrong. No need for name calling.

I know that were there were a few brides over the last 2 weeks that got screwed over in this whole process, but that are so many past brides that can sing Gina's praises.

All I am saying is or at least asking for is, let a dead dog lie already.

I thought the orignal story was that her daughter was critically injured... why is the mom telling some brides one story and other brides another story...

Why did her mother tell other brides something else? Critically injured is more than a bruise. Kids run around and get bruised all the time.

Are you still using her for your wedding this weekend? If so, please keep everyone updated as to the status of your flowers.

Im sorry for anyone that believe's her BULL.. but I dont buy any of it.. and I hate to say it but I guarantee she is on DRUGS and thats why she is acting the way she is cause a normal human being would never run a business like this!! Its just AWFUL and I really feel bad for all future brides that are affected by this !! Hopefully you all found new florists !!! Good luck to all and hope you get your money back!!

Actually, it says she was issued an appearance ticket, not that she was put in Jail

was she in a coma? I don't see how someone can be in a car accident and be in the hospital for 2 weeks and not able to make phone calls or read emails or even some text messages. she has a business you can't just ignore your business because you are having personal problems. that's not very professional. so even if she's telling the truth or she's lying, either way she's not professional.

did she go apologize to the brides or give money back to those she didn't show up for? NO. all she is trying to do is now find new customers for more money and forget all her other ones.

if she was sincere and actually being truthful she'd be writing long apologies or saying something to the brides she didn't show up for first not talking to future clients. which really makes me think she just wants more money from people. out of all the florists out there who wants someone like that? it's not like she is the only florist around. I can't even imagine if my wedding day came around and no flowers showed up and no one called or said anything. she is downright stealing money.

when you get paid for a job and don't do it, that is stealing. if she had time to sit down and talk to new future brides then why hasn't she talked to the other ones she never showed up for? I would think those would be the first brides she would call if she really was being truthful.

just to say how horrified and bad she felt for doing what she did. people are in car accidents everyday and it just sounds all like BS to me. my father had a collapsed lung years ago and he didn't go losing his voice. he also had cracked ribs at one point and that didn't make him lose his voice. I don't understand how she'd just lose her voice. even then what she can't use her hands? or were they broken to so she couldn't go on a laptop? or not able to use a cell phone? with all the technology out there I just find this all hard to believe.

if I was the brides who gave her a deposit I'd say fine still work for me but if you don't show up I am suing you. then have her use that money and do something you won't miss at your wedding if she happens to not show up. it might be hard to get a deposit back since you canceled but if she doesn't show up it seems you might have more rights since she didn't do her job.

I said that awhile back that it sounds like she's on something. people on drugs are desperate for money and just go running off. they are also huge liars. they know how to get pity too.

unless she was in a coma I'm not buying her whole I was in an accident thing. it also doesn't excuse why she's contacting future (give me more money) clients and not the brides she never showed up for.

she said she bought all the stuff for my wedding and wants to still do it cause i contacted her from my deposit back. I told her a lot of girls are very upset with her and she is very uprofessional not showing up to weddings. She is sticking with the 'i was in the hospital story' and could not contact....... cough cough BS

she was in the hospital so she forgot how to use a cell phone or laptop? my friend was in the hospital for 2 weeks and everyday she was online talking to me. my other friend years ago was in the hospital for weeks and he called me everyday. yes sometimes he didn't make sense with all the pain meds he was on but he didn't forget how to use a cell phone lol. it just sounds like a ton of BS.

and why when she could contact people she hasn't contacted the brides she never showed for? to talk about given back money? instead she's calling only future clients! she probably just wants more money.
