On that extra note, I am going to tell you girls EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED...she had too many weddings, was overwhelmed and did not know how to handle the situation. So she makes up this lie about being in a car accident to have an excuse not to do flowers herself, but she did more wrong by promising ME that I will have flowers on my wedding day and lying to everyone else. I have emails from her 2 weeks before my wedding where she would apologize for getting back to my emails late bc she was busy with big weddings and worked through out the entire nite and was overwhelmed. I believe her mom is right in telling people she had a mental breakdown, I can see that happening and I believe truly that is what happened. But what I dont agree is in the unprofessionalism on Gina's part. If she knows she cant do our weddings and for the sake of saving her business, she should of done the right thing by being honest and not promising me flowers and giving my deposit back. But of course, all that money must be gone. At the end of the day, she did not handle her situation the right way.

No she hasnt, and that is what bugs me the most. Dont calm me down the Monday before my wedding and THEN not respond to any of my attempts to communicate days before it..its crazy I have proof, I have voicemails from her stating she will have assistants..

save them. you have to file some sort of lawsuit so you get your money back. that is sooo horrible to do. how do you promise someone you will be there for their wedding and not show. and not even CALL after the fact to try to make up for your mistakes. sooo disgusted with this. i was going to use Gina. I met her and LOVED her and her work. If I would have went with her, I wouldnt have had flowers either. I was August 22 right in the midst of all this bs. I feel for you girls soooo much.

I think that's what really upsets and confuses me the most, too! She has to know you are a poster or at least that some of the brides she ditched were posters so why go boo-hooing to CS about how her name is being dragged through the mud on here? It makes NO sense to me!

OMG, girls... someone just told me about this post and I had to comment. I met with Gina and her mother when I was looking for my flowers and let’s just say that the experience wasn’t that great. So honestly, I’m not surprised to hear about this. I just feel so bad for the brides that had no flowers. Def take her a*s to small claims court.

I find it interesting that her website is down too... this just leads me to believe that she will probably be reopening her business in another name at some later time. If she files bankruptcy on her current business is she responsible for paying these brides back or does she keep the money?

the law doesn't let you do that... if she opens a new business that business would have successor liability.

Good luck to you, but according to your profile you're getting married next month...can you take her to court before the date she's contracted to work for you?

I have been a member since January. I'm an attorney in NYC and work a ton of hours so I normally do not actively participate on this site. However, this Gina incident directly impacted me so I have been participating in these posts to figure out what is going on as well as help others. As I told a few people, not everyone is a poster yet feel LI Weddings has been exceptionally helpful for brides wedding planning who do not have tons of free time. It's pretty petty to be trying to call out people on this site because there are tons of ladies that are exceptionally grateful for all the good advice provided. With my respect to my wedding being in October, I am suing her for anticipatory repudiation of my contract -- you need not wait until the contract is actually breached. She clearly gave reason to believe she would not perform her end of the bargain, through her actions with other brides and her lies -- so I am asking for the 1500 I paid for as a deposit. I've been talking with many brides through both FM and email, so I do not feel it is necessary to defend myself because I only posted 6 times. In case you are still suspicious, my fiance propsed on Nov 1st at the NYC marathon last year. I'm getting married this October, and very excited despite this Gina garbage. I am posting to keep other affected brides posted...which is what this thread was created for.

The fact that she provided the location and invited anybody who was interested to come to the court appearance makes me believe that she is legit.

Sorry you have to defend yourself when you are obviously trying to help and provide info. I really hope you get your money back. 1500 is a lot and I would be livid.
