Thanks! Yea, not letting Gina ruin the rest of my wedding planning. I have a new florist and am very happy. I only paid 100 when I booked Gina but she emailed me in June asking for more money so I gave her an additional 1400. I'm so glad I haven't given her the rest yet but angry that I gave her that money in June. Oh well. Hopefully small claims can help. Ill keep you all posted!

I have been a member since January. I'm an attorney in NYC and work a ton of hours so I normally do not actively participate on this site. However, this Gina incident directly impacted me so I have been participating in these posts to figure out what is going on as well as help others. As I told a few people, not everyone is a poster yet feel LI Weddings has been exceptionally helpful for brides wedding planning who do not have tons of free time. It's pretty petty to be trying to call out people on this site because there are tons of ladies that are exceptionally grateful for all the good advice provided. With my respect to my wedding being in October, I am suing her for anticipatory repudiation of my contract -- you need not wait until the contract is actually breached. She clearly gave reason to believe she would not perform her end of the bargain, through her actions with other brides and her lies -- so I am asking for the 1500 I paid for as a deposit. I've been talking with many brides through both FM and email, so I do not feel it is necessary to defend myself because I only posted 6 times. In case you are still suspicious, my fiance propsed on Nov 1st at the NYC marathon last year. I'm getting married this October, and very excited despite this Gina garbage. I am posting to keep other affected brides posted...which is what this thread was created for.

The fact that she provided the location and invited anybody who was interested to come to the court appearance makes me believe that she is legit.

Sorry you have to defend yourself when you are obviously trying to help and provide info. I really hope you get your money back. 1500 is a lot and I would be livid.

I tried her house, cell, and email....the office # doesnt work and she did not return my call / message /email. I think it's weird - she didnt ask me for money for my Oct. 15th wedding - I wonder why she asked for some people's money but not others!?

Im catching up on all the Gina stuff now. She was supposed to show up for my 9/6/10 wedding and she never showed, never called, never emailed. She had assured me a few weeks before via text message that everything was going fine for my wedding.

Just so you know I am still working doing Weddings, now that I am out of the hospital. In to regards to your deposit it is non refundable . I still would be more than happy to do your wedding. Its your call. I am working things out with XXXX, it was a unfortunate things that happen with the brides. You want me to do your wedding I am here for you like I always was. So it is your choice. A lot of the stuff on the boards are lies and hearsay, did you ever read the good reviews??

Just so you know I am still working doing Weddings, now that I am out of the hospital. In to regards to your deposit it is non refundable . I still would be more than happy to do your wedding.
