Hello fellow brides. Is anyone going to be their own florist? I am considering doing it b/c i'm on a serious budget. I found bulk mini callas and orchids for under $300 bucks total. I got a quote from a florist and it was almost 10 times that amount for the same flowers. your input/ideas are appreciated. TIA!!
You can do it but I'd suggest taking it to a smaller scale so there's less chance of things going wrong and stress. You can do candles, get cute little bottles as vases and maybe throw a single flower in each one and spacing them out along the table... I dont know of many ladies on here taking on a whole DIY project of flowers for their wedding and actually doing big cp's... You should check out Michelle from Hidden Essence. Maybe she can work a quote in your price range. Good Luck!
I've seen some AMAZING DIY flowers at weddings... you could never tell that it wasn't a florist unless you already knew. I say GO FOR IT!
This!! I'm worried about the whole setup but I think its nuts to spend a crazy amount of flowers. I know an engaged couple doing mums on each table and decorating around it. I'm considering it but I want to see how it look on the table first.
Thanks Linda. Im thinking about doing something pretty sinple with the flowers. i definitely dont want to be playing around with a large CP. I did see this one CP that i did love on a website and the person did it themselves (attached pic). i like this just on a smaller scale with a few tealights around it. I have the vases and branches already. second pic is from i k e a. I want to remain simple but elegant. Thoughts?
