We went today to the wholesale district and bought candles, vases and flowers...bought 75 candles for $26 and bought 12 large square vases for $85 and then went to get the roses but when we got there FH said we should get something other than roses, he wanted something a bit different. So he picked these flowers he liked alot, i think they're real nice but wanted to spend less but he said he'll pay for it so i said ok lol...BTW they had 28 roses for $15 if anyone is interested. The flower we picked is called Amaryllis, and its good bc you only put a few in a vase and just let it fall however, so less work for me lol
Here are the flowers, if you have any info on them let me know because i have to pick them up on wednesday bc they come closed, and these flowers you actually keep in heat, so i have to wait 2 days for them to open up...Guess i gotta keep them in heat and keep them moist? ahhh i'll have to ask.

Those are soooo pretty. Where is this wholesale place? My mom wants to do the flowers for e-party herself. At first I was like no, we will just order them from an inexpensive florist but she said you are not going to find an inexpensive florist even for an e-party. So that knocks off like what a couple of hundred dollars if you do them yourself. That is awesome. Pretty flowers, pretty vases, some ribbon, decor, stick them in the vase and TA DAAAAAA you have a CP, lolol, sounds good.
wow! I LOVE EM! i wish i could do my own flowers for the wedding, but i would be too nervous they would all die on me!

Yeah there is NOOOOO way i would do my own flowers for the wedding, i am just doing it for the e-party lol, i wont even attempt the wedding.

Well its a wholesale area in the city and its blocks of just wholesale stores...Theres many types of wholesale stores but many of them are flower wholesale stores...Just go on 6th ave all along 26-29th street...I got everything from stores on 28th street and 6th ave.

BUT depends some flowers can still cost alot, MOST don't especially roses are very cheap...but there are still alot of flowers such as peonies and other expensive flowers which still wont be cheap. I went there to get cheap flowers bc ive been spending way too much for our e-party already, but flowers FH picked out are $6 a stem so depending on how many you want it can still cost a bit of money but still alot cheaper than a florist would charge
