FLOWERS!!! venting... a little long..

I booked my flowers tonight with Flower Michele. I loved it and John. HE was great. Theres only one problem FH thinks were getting screwed. I changed our centerpieces a lillte bit to all high instead of 1/2 high 1/2 low. Which he was fine with. It also cost a bit more but that wasn't the issue either. They are giving us less orchids in each vase as opposed to the original ones. I didn't think this was a big deal but he is so pissed and thinks we are getting scammed. I am so upset over this b/c i thought I was doing a good thing by finally booking the florist. We are far behind in the booking but now its another thing off the list. But he is just complaining saying we are spending more but getting less. I am not sure about this. I just needed to vent.. is having some less orchids that big of a deal???

I think your FH is right. I f you are paying more, they shouldn't take away from the flowers, they should add more.
Unless it takes a certain amount of flowers to make a tall CP.

if you and your FH are so concerned about this, why don't you talk to John about your concerns. maybe he can make a sample of your cp for you to see. that way maybe it'll put your mind at ease.

Tall CP's are a lot more than low ones so it is unevitable that the price is going to go up

i understand your FH's concerns, but John doesn't seem like the screw ya over type. generally high cp's are more expensive. you should definitely talk to him if you have concerns, he's a very reasonable man. don't stress of flowers, it's not worth it don't worry it will all be fine!!!!

I think FH is right too. Thats crazy that you are paying more and getting less flowers. You dont want your flowers to look not sparse as oppose to full. Did they show you a sample CP? I would wait for that and see weather you like the outcome or not. I would def tell them how you feel

I know that it is less flowers but I changed the vase of the centerpiece so not that many orchids can fit as opposed to the other high ones, so of course we will get less but now the guests can take home the vase and all centerpieces are high.
But i will atlk to him. I mean he will do whatever I want, right? I just now have a florist booked for that day. So the cost can go up or down as long as I have him booked.

I always thought that they were more expensive b/c you get more flowers.

I would ask John to spell out why it is more for less. Tell him your concerns I'm sure he will spell it out.
