Flowers - what would you expect to pay for the following:

I don't need CPs - only personals.

Would anyone mind sharing quotes with me, and who you're going with?

I need:
1- Brides Bo-K, 3 dozen roses plus calla lillies and berries (not cascading).
1- MOH Bo-K, 2 dozen roses and berries.
2- BM Bo-Ks, 1.5 dozen roses and berries.

1- Groom Bout, mini calla and berries
3- BM/GM bouts, roses and berries

3- Dads/Grandpa bouts (roses)
3- Moms/Grandma corsages (roses for Moms, something different for Grandma - maybe 1 orchid?)

-A few loose roses for the cake (to be put on by my HALL, not the florist)
-12 Pew Bows

In other words, I just need 1 delivery (to my home). We'll take care of the cake flowers, the pew bows, etc.

I've gotten 5 different quotes from $750 to $1050. All are using the same # of flowers, same colors, etc.

What do you think?

I don't know what thread I was on where I just read about this. I was doing a search so I couldn't even tell you where to find it. But the poster wanted just about what you wanted for under 1000.00 and her replies were that she should definitely be able to find them under budget. So I would think that $750 is a good price. I am checking out Flowers by Brian and Flower Michele. I need a little less than you do.

I had no idea what flowers cost. I expected to hear $500 or so...when I heard our first quote (the $1050), my jaw dropped!

I was told (by the $750 florist) that the bride's bo-k is $200 alone....hmmm......

I'm not big on flowers and I'm allergic to so many of them - I don't want to spend a fortune on flowers.

I know! I thought for me 500 at the most! I even went to Michaels to check out the silk flowers bc I know I could make my own. But then I figured that real flowers would be nice and I am using silk wherever I can. Petals for the table will be silk and I was going to ask the cake maker how much it would be to decorate the cake with flowers made of icing or whatever they make it out of. Fondent? Just to see what the price difference would be. I really am trying to cut back on the cost so that I can have a better honeymoon.

I think you should try With All My Heart in Port Jefferson...I am only doing personals too and I am getting a lot more (I have alot of BM ect) for the same flowers other vendors were charging alot more money! (they are a vendor here)

ditto. i got 12 cp's, flowers for the cake, 4 b/m's bouquets, 8 boutenieres, 4-5 mom's stuff and my bouquet for about $1200.

I think that is a little pricey - I would check out a local florist - I got a much better deal with them then the wedding flower places

NIc, Im sure you aren't all about stop&shop like I am, BUT I thought this would provide a good base for you... their .. 'Rose Wedding Package':

1 - Bride boK

flowers for cake

is $350

They say they also do pew bows and a bunch of other stuff. I have the flyer here if you want to FM me with any specifics... I know knowledge is power when you go into these negoatiatons!

I would also try flower barn in Seaford. I am using them, they have been wonderful to work with so far and the price is by far the best I have found.

I went to a few florists and booked with Signature in Bellmore. They had very good prices and were very flexible and my flowers came out beautiful.

thanks - are they delivering to your home?
Some smaller flower shops weren't willing to deliver the order to my home. I'm about 30 minutes west of Port Jeff.

if you liked my black magics, definitely try Signature. I loved them and found them to be so reasonable! Tell them you're a LIW girl and that you liked my flowers!
