Who would you recommend for quality flowers, I used FTD once and when my mom received them, they were not worth what I paid. Any suggestions?

Re: Flowers - who to use for Delivery to FL.
I just received flowers from my honey and he used Kabloom.com. The flowers did arrive via fedex but were fresh, gerber daisies were in protective wrappings and they are absolutely beautiful. Not sure if you want to go this route, but definitely 2 thumbs up.

I'm surprised! I usually use FTD and the recipients always rave (from local to South Carolina).
Also use 800flowers.com sometimes because we get a 10% corp discount

I personally think your best bet is to find a local florist nearby to where the person you are sending them lives/works...And call them directly to purchase the flowers and arrange for the delivery. I do this all the time. You'll get far more for your money if you do it like that.

My Mom is near Daytona - she is in New Smyrna Beach! Thanks so much!
I am not to far from New Smyrna in Orlando. Let me ask around.

OK I asked a co-worker of mine who he used to use when he lived in the area, when another co-worker heard the name she said she has used them and has gotten beautiful flowers from them. Please know that I have never personally used them so I can not attest to this reccomendation. Fromw hat I can tell on the website that the told me about the flowers do look good.
we used them one year to send flowers to dh granma and mom and they loved them. we also used teleflora for christmas and they were beautiful too

Becareful with 1800flowers. Sometimes the recipient doesn't receive what you pay for.
I second that!

Absolutely, without a doubt .. Proflowers is amazing!!! I LOVE them!!!
As for 1800Flowers .. hate them .. we stopped using them a long time ago when their roses kept dying in less than a week .. even the replacement delivery didn't make 1 week .. then they also cheated us once on the 7-day guarantee.
Forget about 7 days with Proflowers roses .. they easily can last 2 WEEKS .. Proflowers roses come with water tubes on each rose stem. When I get them .. I snip the ends for a fresh cut, and use the powder they send along .. and my roses always get two weeks or more. They come fresh from the grower, and the buds are always tight and ready to bloom .. in a day or so .. they open up so big and beautiful .. they send the best roses .. I love them!!!
Also .. we've had the Chocolate Lava Cakes they sell .. and those are amazing .. and they ship them exceptionally carefully .. the box is almost like a cooler .. and they also include a freezer-pack to help keep the box cold.
This company really goes above and beyond .. it's such a refreshing change .. and if any questions or concerns do occur .. they are so professional and so easy to deal with.
Have I mentioned how I love this company??!!

I too like proflowers, however, if you are looking for something that is going to stop someone in their tracks when it arrives, then I don't think proflowers is the way to go. Their flowers are beautiful after a day but they I just don't think they have great initial impact.

Debbie - Where are you in Orlando? My brother lives in Heathrow (Seminole county). My parents are in Deland now (new community).

I am in a little town called Winter Park. I live very close to the Unviversity of Central Florida. I have heard of Deland and Heathrow although I have never been there so I am not sure how far away that is.
