Flowers/Centerpieces

Has anyone gone to a wedding before and saw fake flower centerpieces? Ive only been to bridal showers/engagment parties with that......wondering if people usually do that at weddings?
i saw a really cute centerpieces that goes with my whole autum/fall theme but i would have to make them myself w/fake flowers.....but not sure if that'll look too tacky...? any opinions?
(ill try to get a pic posted here too when i get home/on my mothers CPU right now)

I dont think fake would be too tacky. Its a much better way to save on the centerpeices. Sometimes (to me) fake flowers look real. And not to mention, who would notice the difference after a few cocktails? I definately wouldnt!

The only wedding I've been to with artificial flowers was years ago but I say why not try it? You can get beautiful silk leaves and flowers that look real and people would really be fighting over the centerpieces. Can't wait to see pics when you get them up!

You can do whatever you want. I have seen some really nice fake centerpieces and when I went up to look at them, I realized they were fake. But, I don't see anything wrong with it.

I personally do not like fake flowers as CP's for summer /spring weddings becuase they are more in season than fall/winter.

The directions for that particular one are on the Michael's website? Hmm... I may have to jump on the artificial flowers bandwagon. That's so perfect for October!

I think that as long as you are happy and like the way it looks go for it... I am using candlabras and trying to stay away from real flowers to keep costs down, so go for it!!!

I am going back and forth with deciding to go with real or fake flowers. Let tell one thing FLOWER DISTRICT. I visited them on Friday in the city and some shops have the best fake flowers I have ever seen. OMG. I want to have a Calla Lily boquet of course I am being quoted by several florist a so much money. I went to one of the shops and took about 2 dozen calla lilies and made a bouquet it looked very real. These calla lilies were less than $2. So at the moment I still do not know what to do.
