Ive been to a wedding before where the centerpiece had fake flowers and it still looked great. It saves money and its not tacky

so ive decided i might be doing them....im about 90% sure since itll save me money....but now FH thinks the pumpkin thing is ugly....he said whats wrong with a vase with some flowers...im like yea ok but im the type of person to do a diff. type of party/wedding...i dont want anything plain ....im def. not getting a big poofy gowni, i want alot of different things @ my wedding........def. no WHITE gown, i have a kid come on.....so yeah he just got me mad because he doesnt like my pumpkins lol
so now im looking for some fall/autumn things that we can both decide on....if not then its back to my pumpkins lol like i always tell him ITS MY WEDDING......YOU JUST SHOW UP lol

The wholesale flower thing is a good idea 2. I was in the bronx the other day and I saw a flower wholesale/retail shop. I bet they have good prices

I've been to a couple of weddings, where they had silk roses as their centerpieces...and to be honest with you....I would not have known the difference, except I touched them.

I didn't think it looked tacky at all!

I'm doing artificial CPs. I wanted real, but my FMIL just went and did these one day, so I couldn't argue. But honestly, I think they're pretty good looking (see pics in my album) and she saved us a ton of money on flowers. I absolutely love the picture you posted of what you want to do and think you should definitely go for it. Make one and see how you like it. My FMIL had someone from AC Moore help her, a floral designer, so maybe Michael's has someone like that you could talk to as well? Or you could bring the picture to AC Moore.

You could do non floral centerpieces...My friend did a beta fish centerpiece with colored water, pretty stones, and a few curly willow branches. It was really inexpensive.

I really love the centerpieces with the fake real looking flowers. Plus guests love them because their not filled with dirt or water!! Trust me they go. I did party planning for three years with a friend and they were a big hit. Michaels has real looking ones and theire absolutely amazing. Ive seen guests at weddings go to smell the flowers!
