FLU SHOT

FLU SHOT

I am supposed to be getting the Flu Shot this morning at 9:45. Last night I started to not feel too good. I have a sore throat and a stuffy nose. Can I still get the Flu Shot? Or will it make me sicker? Someone told me that I can get the flu if I get the shot while I dont feel well.

my doctor said that's total bunk....i asked the same thing because i wasnt' feeling great when i got it. I think it's totally fine!

Well I went down there, and they told me I couldnt take the shot. SO now I gotta go through my doctor.

I wouldnt think it would be ok
when you get a flu shot they give you a little dose of the flu.
Just like a TB shot.
You might want to wait till you are better.

we just did the flu shots at my job, and the nurse said it's fine, as long as you are not on antibodics. and the thing about mild flu symptoms...you should only (if anything) feel a little achy (cured with a tylenol), the kind of feeling to make you say, 'am I getting sick' then you are fine.

Do not get the flu shot when you aren't feeling well!! My husband wasn't feeling great last week and got the flu shot. He came down with the flu a few days later. The doctor told him next time don't take the shot when you don't feel well. (So silly, I don't know why he took it when he didn't feel well!)

I was told if you so wind up getting the flu (you felt sick prior to shot), it's not because of the shot, it was already in your system. the shot is not like a peneciline cure, it's to prevent. I think, ince in your system it's too late.
