Flu Shot?

Are you supposted to get the flu shot if you're preggo? I don't think I've ever gotten the shot but I do work with kids who are coughing, sneezing, etc. Any info???

On the news they say that pregnant women are on the list to receive them. My OBGYN told me to try to get one if I can.

Only if you are in your 3rd trimester during the flu season (Nov-mar). If not, the sht can pose a risk to a young fetus

I havebeen told only woman in 2nd or 3rd trimesters actually. I have not gotten one. If it was readily available and my doctor felt I should I would. Personally, I usually stay in good health and would not want totake one away from a person who is elderly or handicap who could use it more than me esp after seeing how my uncle and grandmother struggled to get one.
