My doctor has not mentioned this but I know pregnant women are a priority group. Did anyone get one? Is it necessary?

My doc told me that I should think about one because I work in a public place and lots of times people come in when they are sick. No one stays home when they are sick anymore! Gross!

I got it through work, since they were offering it I called my doctor to see if I should get it.. He said definitely since I am in my 5th month and they recommend it to anyone who is or will be in their 2nd - 3rd trimesters during the flu season. I have gotten the flu for the past 3 years... had a fever of 102+ and sick for over a week. I was worried of getting it now that I am pregnant because I know how bad it has been. I also work at a college and am in constant contact with students from all over the place, and live in a house with 2 very elderly grandparents. To me it seemed like the right thing to do. I got it about 3 weeks ago.. No side effects at all. I feel great.

I got one based on my doctor's recommendation. Apparently, getting the flu when you are pregnant can be very serious!

My OB said I could get it, but only the heat sensitive one. I made an appt with my primary dr and when I went they only had the live virus so I couldn't get it.

I am 15 weeks and my doctor recommended getting it. But only if you are in your 2nd or 3rd trimester during flu season. Although, the doctor did tell me that ifyou get the flu, it does not affect the baby at all, it can only affect you,
