No...why would you think it's bad? I'm sure it would make her feel VERY happy that you shared it with her. I know mine was on cloud 9!

Re: FMIL
I brought my FMIL with me when I went dress shopping and she even comes with me when I look at BM dresses. We get along great though so I dont mind at all.

Re: FMIL
I was so excited after I bought mine, I went to pick her up and show her. I even tried it on for her. I heard she really liked seeing it.

No...it's ok. Your FMIL will be very touched that you invited her.

Re: FMIL
Oh do it...its nice to involve them. Plus...this is going to be your second mom...she doesn't count as just 'anyone'. Just don't let anyone else see it but her, your mom, bm, whoever else in your bp.......I think that would be so nice of you!

Re: FMIL
I definitely think that you should show her. I tried to show mine a picture (b/c I can't get her to come) and she told me she doesn't have time for all this 'girl stuff' and walked away.

Re: FMIL
I showed mine a picture because it wasn't convenient to bring her to the store. She was excited, my FH is her only child so she gets excited to hear about girly things (like since I'm an only child my dad likes to talk about golf with my FH)

Re: FMIL
My FMIL is coming with me to find my dress-along with my dads gf and a friend-this way I get an unbiased opinon My FMIL is VERY traditional and I dont know if Im going to like EVERYTHING to be traditional. She already told me I couldnt have a chocolate cake!

Re: FMIL
i think it's a nice way to really bond with her--showing her the dress before hand. i don't know why your BM said that...that's weird! lol

I think it's great. I'd think she'd love it. And showing your FMIL your dress is not the same as showing it to the whole world (which is what I did and now nobody will be surprised at the wedding... oops)
If i show my FMIL the world will see it!! her other DIL asked her not to show everyone and she DID, showed everyone she could!!!! So I am not sharing mine...

Re: FMIL
Definitely bring her! I think she would appreciate it! My MOH told me not to show anyone, too... but I think it's okay for people close to you.

Re: FMIL
I think it would be nice to include her there is nothing wrong with taking her. As long as she doesn't take pictures to show your FH
