FMIL

We went to go book my dj today and when we were done we call my Fmil and she got so mad and said that i should get a second job to pay for this wedding and that we are going to go into debt i just cant believe that she said that i was so hurt that she did. i cried i just couldnt believe it. So we booked with TOmmy Tunes and we got Gene the Prof. Singer for the salad, appt. and dinner. I cant wait that is a suprise for my FFIL...

Vent over thanks for listening. Im happy with my selection and i dont care that we are spending 2400 dollars well spent......

what nerveeee...dont get me started on FMIL's.....mine is getting out of hand right now....
its your wedding and if she isnt contributing anything then prices are none of her buisness.

First of all..Congrats on booking your dj!! Second..don't worry about the FMIL she can complain all she wants but this is still your day and you should have the vendors that are going to help make your day wonderful. I'm sure the day of she's going to be happy you chose a great DJ!!

Sorry to hear about this... sometimes people dont think before blurting things out. Verbal diarrhea, you know? I'm sure she didn't mean to offend you, but you should speak up if she did. Let her know that there are something she's going to be abe to voice her opinion about, and other things she can't... like your wedding. Hope things get better. Dont let her get to you, this is a happy time! Congrats on booking your dj!

Why would she say that... if she is so concerned about how much you are spending she should chip in...since she is so worried!! Don't let it get you down....as long as you are happy that is all that matters!! Congrats on getting another thing done!!!

First, congrats on booking a dj and having one more thing done. Wow, you are so together and I feel like I am totally behind since all we have is the RH booked. Second, I hope things with your FMIL will blow over--I am sure they will. My FH recently left his job and before he got a new one my FMIL, his mother, was all onj our case about how we are spending too much money. And all we have so far is a RH. Now things are ok so I know things will be ok for you too. Don't stress and take it in stride. And remember that it is YOUR wedding!!!

Aww don't worry about what she think...as long as your happy everything will be ok. Sometimes I think they need to nix the 'bridezilla' term and come up with one for FMIL's!! lol

Congrats on booking your DJ!! But as for your FMIL, likes MISSPINK said, if she isnt contributing anything to the wedding then she really has to keep her mouth shut. Just be glad with the decisions you are making.

Honestly I dont think that our parents or our FIL's really know how much things cost these days. Dont let her bother you. Just remember you are the bride and this is your wedding so do whatever the heck you want!
