FMIL bought a white dress!

My FMIL bought a white dress for the wedding! FH and I (and my parents)are so upset but I think that I have to suck it up. FH wants to go over there and tell her that he thinks it wrong but we got into a huge fight because I think that it will stir more problems with him going over ther. Like I said, I think we just have to suck it up.
Any ideas?

Thanks girls. It's crazy b/c we have a really good relationship but this just makes me resent her. Oh well. Like I said, I will suck it up and she will be the one who looks out of place.

My mom wore off-white, it was stunning. It was a two piece suit with a long skirt in satin. Have you seen the dress? It didn't take anything away from me. Don't fret over this. Unless it looks like a bridal gown, I wouldn't worry over it.

An out-of-towner showed up at our wedding wearing white, and another guest that is from NY also. At the end of the night, I don't think it matters even though I was pissed off.

Honestly, I would not suck it up. It is your day, and you dont want to be mad at her everytime you look at her. Maybe she honestly has NO CLUE. I would def ask FH to go over and talk to her. Good Luck!

My FMIL bought a Champagne colored dress. Nevermind that it's almost white but it's the color of the tops of the BM Dresses. It really pissed me off but I'm not saying anything. It's not worth it. No one is going to be looking at her anyway.

She will be the one who looks ridiculous ... if you feel it's going to stir up problems, then don't say anything ... everyone else at the wedding that day, will!

Honestly, even if she wore a polka dot Moo Moo... YOU would still be the center of attention. You're the bride, and no one will confuse that.

i know its frustrating, and really, what possesed her to buy a white dress is beyond me, But before you (or FH) do or say anything to her, definately think about how important it is to you (b/c you kinda sound like your on the fence about your feelings about it). IF its really upsetting to you, then You should definately say something, and not let it eat away at you. But if its not that big of a deal to you, then let it go.

You're a better person then me!! I think you should be the only one in white and thats that. Out of all the colors you have to pick white. I think some people just try and test us. Good luck with everything.

UGH!! I am going through the same thing! My girls are wearing sage green (which is also in my gown) and FMIL decided that would be the best color for her! She just doesn't get it!! BUT, this is also coming from a woman who still calls me by the wrong name - FH's former girlfriend's!!!

I think some people need to be told what not to wear to a wedding. Maybe have someone find it in a book or site of dos and donts and get it to her....

You will be fine even if she does wear her white dress. She is the one for years to come who will be remembered as the MORON....
And you will have the pictures to prove it!
