FMIL cancelled my HM FLIGHT!!!! UPDATEit's all ok!

FMIL cancelled my HM FLIGHT!!!! UPDATEit's all ok!

WHAT ELSE CAN GO WRONG W THIS WEDDING?!?!?!?!?!??!?

i got a call from american airlines this morning telling me that the flight booked for my honeymoon has been cancelled.

here's the story...when we decided to book our HM, FMIL offered for me to give HER the money and she would put it on her credit card. so that's what we did. so i GAVE HER THE MONEY right then and there and we booked it w her card. fast fwd to her getting her statement...she must have seen a large charge on her card, forgotten what it was for, assumed someone else got her information and booked a flight, and so she filed a claim that it was fraudulent.

she's at SCHOOL right now...so i can't even talk to her about it...but i told FFIL and he is PISSED about it...so i know when she gets home she'll hear about it before i have to tell her. which is good b/c i don't know what the h e l l i would say...

omg i seriously don't know how much more i can take w things going wrong. at this point it's almost laughable!!

***UPDATE: everything is ok. i was mistaken when i said the flight was cancelled....i called the airline again while i was at work and they are holding the tickets for us for a short amount of time until they get paid. thank GOODNESS!! so we are going to call tomorrow and pay them and it will all be fine. FMIL doesn't seem to think it's a big deal. lol...oh well, at least everything is ok!

that is what i was thinking...i mean i understand seeing a large charge but then if she looked and saw airlines would the HM come to mind

it's really not that bad if we can either book the same flights, or book different flights around the same time w about the same layover...but other flights we looked at had 24 hour layovers!! what if we're stuck for that long and we miss an entire day of our HM b/c of this.

why do bad things keep happening?! are we not supposed to get married?!?! ughhhhhhhhhh!

is your FMIL an idiot? j/k but that is really really strange that she forgot - unless its typical behavior for her - is she usually like that? are you going to be able to re-book?

Just another hurdle to jump over!!!! Dont worry, it will work out!!

ETA: You can put a 24 hour hold on flights (on AA). You should def. do that now and book it later tonight.

yes you are supposed to get married! dont worry! im sure that you guys will actually be laughing about this one day - you'll have a good story to tell about how you almost didnt make it to your HM

well...i don't want to say anything bad...but when i told FFIL he was like 'she's losing it!' and he went on a rant about how she doesn't think about things...which is kind of true. but i don't get how she would not put it together though...her son is getting married...going on honeymoon...the flight was for TWO DAYS AFTER OUR WEDDING...especially b/c i gave her the money for it...it's not like she was paying for it and we'd pay her back...but i guess she forgot that deposit into her bank account too.
