FMIL gave me a really nice gift....

So yesterday FMIL did a really nice thing. FH had bought her this beautiful pave diamond ring when he was younger and i ALWAYS compliment her on it. So yesterday she said that she was waiting for a special time but she just was anxious and she said she wants me to have her ring. At first I was like nooo it is yours and your son bought it for you....but then FH was like no she really wants you to have it!! It is similar to my band on my e-ring just a little thicker and she was like i know you will have your own wedding band but i thought this would be nice to have as another band and since FH gave it to her she thought it was special for me to have it now...I reallly thought it was sweet...Points for FMIL!!!!!

I have to say FH and i come from two different families but she really does always do good by me. She has a daughter and she always includes me in things like i am her daughter. So i thought it was a nice story to share for the day...LoL

My FMIL tries to pawn off all her stuff on me...like a set of pots & pans she got as a gift 25 years ago and never used, or the set of towels she bought at the dollar store 5 years ago and never used (I'm not joking...these are all real things she's tried to give me).

You're very lucky to have gotten such a special gift...are you considering using it as your wedding band?

And if you need a set of pots & pans...just let me know...

hey i guess you can always use towels right..LoL

I said i will use it like when i just wear a wedding band. My wedding band is a perfect match with my e-ring so when i just wear a wedding band alone i will wear that ring.
