Ok yesterday was mother's day. FH and I decided no gifts just cards because we are trying to save our money for the wedding. I went out 2 weeks ago and brought 12 cards bt the two of us for both families. We went to my family house ate, talk, laugh and then exchange gifts. I only had cards but everyone thought it was so beautiful. So we go over to his house we give his mom and sister their cards. His mom opens the card and says 'Where is the money? Where is my money?' This is mother's day I want my money. What is the point of mother's day if you dont get money. Now he told me she would not appreciate a card but it was a very nice card straight from the heart. She did not read but put it down and walk out the room. The look on his face. he looked like he wanted to cry. i patted him on the back and we left. I did not want to be disrespectful but i told her if she give back the card i can probably return she said ok. I really cant believe his mom. Sorry I had to vent
wow thats horrible...im sorry..yesterday my fmil went out and i didn't even get to see her after my fh told her i wanted to and had a gift for her..so I understand how you feel
Wow, I feel bad for you because you have to deal with her the rest of your life. She sounds like shes going to be a real pain. Plus, who the heck gives their mom money for mothers day???
