So last night Kevin and I took his mom to a limo place to find out prices for the wedding. Kevin asked how much it would be for a limo for his bachelor party for X amount of hours. His mom then procedes to ask me, what are WE doing for your bachelorette party? I quickly responded I have no clue my MOH is in charge, all I have to do is show up hehe I know my mom said if I was doing something crazy she doesn't want to go. Do I take my FMIL without my mom? Thanks!!

I don't know its a personal prefernce. My mom and FMIL are coming to dinner with us then going home and were going out. She got a little miffed when we told her it was going to be just the BM after dinner but while I don't plan on doing anything stupid I don't feel like having her tell FH what we did at all.

for my MOH's bachelorette party - the moms and VERY pregnant ( i mean like almost due) BMs came out for dinner and then went home. . .
HOWEVER, her mom and FMIL decided at the last minute that they would come join us at the rest - it was such an awkward night. . . they sat in a corner and we kept trying to dance but felt bad leaving them. . . i mean it was just a club but it was very wierd. . . .and i suddenly noticed a lot of stuff i had gotten used to. . .like people practically making babies on the dance floor, obvious drug use and some fighting - my 60 year old aunt was pretty upset by everything. . .
for this reason i am not inviting my mom or FMIL at all, i would have liked to invite them to a dinner or something before hand but i am too paranoid they will team up against me and come out for the rest of the night ( thats what happened to my MOH)
of course it depends on what you are doing and your relationship with FMIL - i love my FMIL but we talk about things like knitting and what Oprah is up to. . . we dont go to bars together!

To this day I only go out once or twice a year and really 'drink' and I'm 22 lol so I'm rare in that sense, I know. And I was never ON the 'naked guys jiggling' phase to begin with....BLECK!!!

I was expecting my mom and FMIL to be invited. If you are comfortable with it then, sure! Just be sure to extend the invitation to your mom so she doesn't feel left out.

Thanks for the advice! I think I will invite my mom and FMIL to dinner and then we will go our separate ways. FMIL is crazy and my mom is very reserved. I want to have a wild and crazy bachelorette party, so although I would feel comfortable with my FMIL being there I don't want to party with her there and not my mother. Hopefully I won't be involved in any of the planning and my bridesmaids and friends will have to do the inviting hehe
