Im sorry thats tough but try not to stress over it. I know it may be hard but just do your best to ignore the comments. It's your wedding and your choices. If she continues to say things or make comments maybe talk to your FH about asking her to as polite as possible 'back off a bit'
I think the best thing is to take these things where they are coming from...she doesnt get what you are doing , just dont listen be like ok whatever you think thanks, and then jsut do what you want... If it makes you feel any better my fmil told me several times so far' the best wedding I ever went to was in the back of a bar where they threw sawdust on the floor'...ok ok thank you im glad i'm stressing to plan a nice wedding so you can compare it to a wedding in the back of a bar...LOL...you just HAVE to laugh!
