So we are still missing 12 RSVPs from FH's side (our RSVP date was last Friday) so last night FH called his mom to ask her to reach out to them and find out if they are going.
She got all whiny saying how she was soooo busy and how she couldn't possibly call until next week. FYI - she doesn't work. Yes, she has to do things around the house, but it's not like she's taking care of little kids or working.
So FH was like, ok, but we need to know by Columbus Day - I whipped around and gave him a dirty look. Columbus Day??? That's 10 days from now. I want to have my freaking seating chart DONE in 10 days.
ARGH
I'd like to point out that my mom contacted all 5 people on her side that were missing RSVPs within a day of me asking her (and she works full time!)

YUCK!!! I would call myself too! It's not like people have never had a wedding or been to a wedding before. RSVP dates are made for a reason!!!!

My FMIL is going to be like that, but i'll take it upon myself to call, even if i don't know the people.

We have no problem with calling. I just didn't think it would be such a big deal for her, especially since we work all day.
That was our plan B. But of course if we ask her for the phone numbers, she says, no no, I can do it.

I guess thats where the saying comes in 'If you need something done, give it to a busy person.' Someone who isnt busy usually lets it sit.

OMG, So annoying!!!! People don't know what busy is, seriously!!! Try working 85+ hours a week...and having a house to take care of and other responcibilities. I wish i could just sit at home all day... I would totally call myself, and if she git ves you any headache for getting the phone numbers say that you need the RSVPs within a timely manner and obviously she is too busy to do that.
Most of the time i hate the fact that i dont have a FMIL, but when ihear things like this....i'm kinda relieved, does that make me a horrible person lol
