Did anybody have to participate in this before Pre-Cana? My church requires it prior to pre-cana. Just wondering if anybody else has done it and what its like. I go on Thursday. According to my pastor they are trying to start this program in every church on the Island, but only some have started.

Re: FOCCUS
We did it...actually very painless...in fact we both enjoyed it...first you take a about 1150 question test. it is really statements like we have discussed how we will raise our children. You have to either agree or disagree. Then after a few months we were called back to the church where they gave us the results and we were told to discuss our answers. It was very interesting and we discussed things we probably wouldnt have before. Hope that helps.

We did it too. It was definately painless. We took it with about 5 other couples. My church split the men and women into different rooms and all we did was to fill out the questionnaire, which took less than an hour. We are supposed to go back in September to go over our results.
My problem is that I don't like or trust the women who runs it for my church and both FH and I don't want to talk to her about our answers. I'll need to talk to my priest about it.

Re: FOCCUS
Totally painless - and it's very intersting to go over the answers you 'didnt' match up on'.
Our Deacon was telling us about a couple he was about to call in, where the male answered AGREE to 'This is NOT the person I'm supposed to marry'
Can you imagine???? I'm sure it was a mistake, but still. FH thought the deacon was talking to him, and he's like ' I SWEAR I didn't put that - I SWEAR!'

Re: FOCCUS
we did it and to be honest..it was kind of fun! It was very interesting to see what we both put down for answers. Basically it is a scantron test that you take individually and then compare anwers. It is onthings like how to raise your family, money, faith...etc
