We haven't done it yet (we've been engaged for 6 days lol) but FSIL just completed it...yes, they do ask personal stuff. They want to see how you both are with eachother, how you feel about life and things, make sure you have similar views and goals..etc...

I don't think anything bad happens, but then they'll give you like therapy sessions and ask you to rethink you're wanting to get married, possibly offer counseling! It's crazy....tell him to go in there and answer in a way that God would want him to, and you'll do the same lol

No, but I can ask my FSIL if you'd like me to...I mean, it's a house of God..I doubt they ask you about sex positions and stuff..but I am sure they ask if you are saving yourself...in that case, I don't know what to do!

i heard its like 100-150 questions but i havent taken it yet...we're doing it in oct.
i think its questions about marriage, finances, relationships, etc. and then they match up the questions to see how u two compare etc.

thats what I am afraid of. if i say i have had sex already, what happens? hahaha what if i say no, and he says yes? OH MY GOODNESS!!!!

my priest gave us the paper work in january when we went to reserve the date. he said to do it when we got a chance.

I know, I wonder about that question too! I am panicked becaused I called FH's parish yesterday....left a message with a secretary who is so obviously putting me on hold to see if he'll pick up, but never does.....and she said that she has to see what his scheduele is like...the date is open but we have to see what he'll be doing. What does that mean???????

I have to do this as well. I live in Philly and my parish that I'm getting married at said I don't have to do it with them.... I've had friends do it and its not that bad, from what I heard they ask you the same set of questions separately.... stuff like do you intedn to have children and raise them catholic...
