Has anyone actually gone to Foccus yet ?? From what I heard it is like 50 questions that they give to you and FH husband to answer seperately. And then you compare answers with the priest later.
What kinda questions do they ask?? They told us it was a 1 hour thing. Is that just the question part?? or do you discuss it and everything in a hour??
any insite on this will be helpful!

Re: Foccus?? Anyone ??
I just did mine a couple of months ago. It is easy don't worry. It is just life questions about your views on things. So they get and idea of your overall compatibility. It is an hour thing just to answer the questions. They send it some place to get it scored. FH and I haven't gotten our results yet, when I asked my priest about it on Christmas mas he laughed. You shouldn't worry

Re: Foccus?? Anyone ??
I did mine two weeks ago. It was about 150 questions. They were all statements and you get this scantron sheet like in high school and you answer whether you agree, disagree or are uncertain about the statement. They told us that it is only to pick the groups you will be in for Pre-cana and if anything was in huge disagreement between you and your FH then the priest will talk to you about it.

its more like over 100 questions and they ask everything from money to sex to children to personality traits. It took about 45 minutes. After that a couple calls you and you go to them and share your 'results'. It wasnt that bad. We both found out were stubborn.. Like we didnt know!

I am scared to death about this. How are you supposed to answer the 'personal' questions? I feel horrible lying, but then again don't want the priest knowing all of my business. How embarrasing!

I just did mine on the 10th of this month. It ask you questions that you should have discuss with your future husband. Then you get the results back and you and your future husband can discuss what you had differences on and what you need to work on. I think it is good. my priest told me that there is such a high level of divorce that this enables couples to think about what they will be facing. After taking it, my FH and I accually discussed questions that were on the 'test' so it has a point. It was about 157 questions for us

Re: Foccus?? Anyone ??
we really enjoyed the Foccus test. It was the best part of precana. I wish they would have given us more time to talk about it. They rip it up when you're done (at least they do at my church). It brought up a lot of areas for discussion. The rest of precana for me was a waste of time, but i think that had a lot to do with the leaders of our group.

FOCCUS is
Facilitating Open Couple Communication Understanding Study
Our test was 157 questions. It was basically if you agree, disagree or undecided about a statement. We went over the test at a couples home a few months later. We discussed every question we disagreed on. Overall, we did very well and it did get FH and I talking afterwards.
