Hello 11 ladies! If you have taken the FOCCUS and are doing Pre Cana with the Diocese, how did they give you your results? Was it like comapring what you and FH got for certian questions or is it more a general staistical data kind of thing?

We didn't do it with the diocese but with the church were getting married at. The FOCCUS results are basically in the different categories on the test. Each category scores your answers with your fh's answers.
For example, FH and I answered the same answers in a lot of the categories so our score was 100% for those categories. The test results only tell you what questions you both answered differently. The couple we met, to discuss the results, only talked about those particular questions we answered differently.

I am doing pre cana at Blessed Sacrament. They distributed the FOCCUS answers and results, and we discussed our answers privately...only FH & I.

Thanks! FH and I both read into things and we both answerd a lot of questions as 'unsure.' We don't see things as black and white ever. So, just to be clear, they give you the questions and your answer to the ones you disagreed on?

do not worry about it at all! i dont know where you took it but we took it with the diocese. they gave us a print out and it showed us where we agreed and where we didnt. they will just ask why you said unsure. trust me its NOTHING to worry about!

They don't actually physically hand you the questions with your answers on it. They read your results and then use this FOCCUS binder that has all of the 'right' answers. And each has a couple of sentences why. The questions you both answered 'unsure' will all come up, even if you both put 'unsure'.
We didn't answer any 'unsure' but we did however, answer against what the church says about religious questions. Our answers were the same for those religious questions but they still came up in the results.

Thank you ladies soooo much. I don't know why I am so obsessed with knowing about this...I think it's my Catholic school background! I know we both answered honestly and our relationship is totally solid, I guess I just don't like not knowing what to expect from Pre Cana in general.
