Is it bad if you take too much folic acid? I'm taking a vitamin that has 400 mg folic acid. My DH brought home folic acid pills which are 800 mg. If I take both, is that too bad? And is that worse than taking not enough when TTC?

I am not sure! but it think it should be ok my doctor told me he wanted me to actually take a vitamin that is has folic acid with 800 mg. i would talk to your gyno and see what they say or your primary doctor. good luck.
