Food at douglaston manor

I want to have an engagement party at I was looking at the douglaston manor. I would really appreciate it if you could offer any info. about the food. I will only have it there if the food is good. Thanks! -Elisa

I have never been there before, but i am going to a graduation party there next sunday.. i can update you after that!

i was talking with my coworker about having my shower there.. and a patient overheard us.. and said st johns used to hold functions there all the time and the food was bad a few times and they stopped booking there.

i personally havent been, but if u can do a food tasting before hand and get more opinions that would be better.


just letting u knwo what i heard. im still going to try to taste the food there for myself.


and just remember, no matter where u go..there will always be a few ppl that will complain.

I've been to 4 showcases and brought FH, my daddy, my mom, FFIL,FMIL,FBIL(also the best man) and they all loved the food and so did I. But like someone else said people have different tastes....I went to a wedding at a VERY popular LIW RH and HATED the food and so did 3 other guests at that wedding but others like it there. I also went to another LI RH where my FH's food was SO bad he sent it back and if you know my FH he DOES NOT send food back. So again people have different opinions....I think they are open as a restaurant sometimes maybe you could stop in and try it.

ITA. I went there for a work function and thought the food was great-but one of my co-workers did not like the food. I think it depends on what each person likes. You should definately contact them to do a tasting though-also the staff at the event was super friendly.
