Food for thought

Food for thought

For all you ladies who were wondering if it was to early before your wedding date to put a deposit on a wedding gown... I would not wait and especially after you hear what happened to me. Basically to make a long story short...I ordered my wedding gown Jan 18th of this year and my wedding is April 2204. The dress came in and I went to make sure it was the right size and all. She unzipped the bag and it was the dress and the right size, but I had ordered white with blue ice. The dress was white with ice. She was initally trying to tell me that they were the same thing...but they are not. This was one major detail that I had loved about the dress. Basically, I can not get this dress in white with blue ice, which I had planned on. I even bought my headpiece that has blue ice in it. They company said that it was an error and that the beading on the sample is darker then the actual dress. Different beading. The store was extremely nice and it is not there fault. They ordered it right, it is just that they are not making it like that. SO..I am now going to start looking at gowns again. Thank God that I have 11 months to my wedding and I can look for another dress. Not sure if I am going to keep the orginal dress at this point or what? SO getting your dress early is a good thing.... YOU NEVER KNOW what can happen

That stinks. It's a good thing it's early enough. I hope you find exactly what you want.

Yeah it does stink, especially because I was expecting the dress I fell in love with and I can not have it now. I just keep telling myself that everything happens for a reason. There might be a dress out there that I will like more. We will see.

Say it isn't so!! We have the same dress! What is the difference between ice and blue ice? When I looked at the dress they told me that the blue beads were called just plain ice. They were blue, but it was very, very subtle. Is that what you were expecting or were you expecting the blue to be more noticeable?

What does your headpiece look like? I haven't ordered one yet so if you're looking to get rid of it...
