ok im having my wedding at the sand castle but in order for me to taste the food we have to pay 50$ each but every other place ive been its free should i say something to them they say since we have to go there when a wedding is going on we have to pay because they dont have a restaurant on premise they strictly do catering >>>>anyone else think this is weird ???????????

We had an awesome food tasting at Jericho and it was free. No complaints!

NO!
I think that paying for a tasting is ridiculous IMO.
You are sampling their product and if it is 'good enough' for your standards you will be spending thousands of dollars... $50 pp is crazy.

Milleridge is free because you are already booked with them. They give you a tasting to help you pick your menu items.

Sorry - I misunderstood your post. I thought you were asking about a tasting before signing a K. If you ALREADY booked then they should definitely give you a free tasting - how else can you pick your menu?!?! That is crazy

My RH was free for 6 people too & tons of food.
We were asked to tip the waitresses.

I didn't pay for mine, we went ate dinner and dessert, drank wine and they comp'd the whole thing!

CLM is free.. we went to their food tasting last night.. you do get a lot of food + pastries.. drinks.. plus whatever u don't finish you get to bring home... they suggest leaving a tip at your discretion.. but not bad for all the stuff you get!!

Definately say someting if it's important for you to taste the food!!! I pushed for it and got it for free there was never money mentioned and it was amazing!!!!!

The food at the SandCastle is to die for everything is made amazing and totally fresh! They send all the food home with you at both the food tasting and the wedding. The amount that they give you is also sooooooo much that you could eat on it for days so it's not an average tasting at all!

I personally needed the food tasting because I had never heard of the SandCastle and was a nervous bride and I pushed for it. I can honestly tell you that my food tasting was out of this world! My wedding was out of this world as well!!!! You have nothing at all to be nervous about I swear! Feel free to ask questions I've tried everything that they offere lol!!!

Get out! I am having my reception there also and I did not know they do this! This is weird.. I am going to have to check in to this one..

my hall doesn't do food tastings. you have to attend the showcase (that they charge you for) and taste whatever was selected for that event.

I'm over it, but initially I was so pi$$ed.
