Does anyone have the FoodSaver? Which one do you have and do you like it? What do you need to go with it? I really need one, I just threw out about $100 worth of freezer burned meat this weekend (i had it wrapped in freezer paper, saran wrap and in freezer bag so I don't know what happened there). Anyway, I'd like to put one on my registry, even if it's the cheapest one, but just need to know what accessories I need to put down for it too.

i think all you need is the foodsaver itself and any extra bags or containers you might want ... check out amazon for reviews
i found a foodsaver on amazon for $62 and it comes with some bags and whatnot too. It's the FSMSSY0210
oh, you might watn to note that i don't actaully own it yet ...

I have the newer one- not sure the model but it's the upright version. I love it! I would get plenty of freezer bags. I like the rolls that you cut yourself. Also the set of 3 canisters is good for leftovers in the fridge or things that would get crushed in a bag (like hard taco shells or fruit). They have a marinating container which is probably nice but I usually just use a canister for that too. I would say that's a great start and you can always see if you want more accessories later.

I have an older version of the food saver and LOOOOVE it. You can't go wrong. I have heard the newer ones have extra settings too. And as far as bags go, worth the expense!
