for a march 12th wedding

WHen do you send out the invites?? I got a good idea from someone on here, to do it on December 31st, start of a new year.. Is that too early?? Our RSVP is February 12th.. THanks GIRLS.. I just want to know when I can really start to bug my FMIL for the guest list

I am most likely going to send out invites like the last week in Jan/First week in Feb.. Our rsvp date is 3.18 and the wedding is 4.16.

10 to 12 weeks before--

I'm torn between Dec 10th-11th or January 2nd or 3rd...
I wanted to do the 10-12 weeks which would be beginning of December..but afraid of the christmas mail rush and then afraid jan 2nd, 3rd is too late?

Good thinking.. That's why I was thinking Get them out December 31, they'll probably arrive to everyone like the 10th of january or sooner, maybe later, and that gives them a month to RSVP?? hmm.. I don't know

Please bear in mind that mail tends to get lost during the holidays more than any time..so I say after the holiday rush

our wedding is like 2 weeks later thn your and we are sending them out a week later than you. i think thats a good amount of time to send them

We waited till right after new Years. Keep in mind a lot of people are going on Spring Break vacations- teachers, students ,etc. So you might want to get them out right after the holidays ( new Years) so if they were even thinking of going away they might not becuase they got your invite. Hope this helps.

Well our wedding is Aprill 22, and we are sending the invitations out around February 11, with a March 11(my brithday) RSVP. So that's about 10 weeks before the wedding.

I am funny about dates - I sent my e invits out on 4/15/04 wih rsvp 5.7 (my bday)
I toold people i wanted to give them something better to think abt on tax day LOL

So my w nvits are going out 12.31.04
with response 2.14.05

I was married on March 6th and sent the invites the day after Christmas

ETA our RSVP was Feb 20th!

I would do it Jan 2 or 3rd. But Dec 31 is fine too, just know that it may be that the PO is closed due to the fact that 1/1 is a Sunday and it's a national holiday so PO's may give workers that Sat off instead.
