For all Brides Honeymooning in Hawaii.....

I think we have decided that we want to go to Hawaii. I think we will be staying in California a few days and then heading to Hawaii.

Question is where are you staying, what hotels, parts, etcc...

Also, if you don't mind sharing what you spent and who you booked with.

There are soo many beautiful places I need to narrow it down before I go the agent. Thanks

Can't wait to hear about everyone's plans.

We're going to San Francisco on the way to Hawaii and also stopping there on the way back for a few more days. In Hawaii, we're staying in Oahu and Maui. We booked with Tom Varghese who was amazing. I will FM you all the details!

We are thinking 10 days. We will start at Oahu, to see Pearl Harbor, only for one day. Then we will head to Kauai for 2 days to Relax, then we are going to Maui for the rest of the time. Not really sure what hotels yet. Trying to do more research.

We booked through a TA in Oyster Bay who I would recommend!

The cost of the trip including breakfast at each hotel came to about $8000. We will be travelling in August.

Re: For all Brides Honeymooning in Hawaii.....

Well...I originally had the travel agent book everything - except airfare - I researched myself and found it cheaper than she got...she also had us at the Hyatt in Maui for 7 nights and the Hyatt in Kauai for 6 nights both with breakfast and a jeep rental car for the whole time in both islands...$6800...BUT...I did more homework and found a brand new timeshare at the new North Tower in the WESTIN...$1850 for the week..7 nights - and I have oceanview and a kitchen! I cancelled the Hyatt in Maui and saved about $2000 - FM me for more details..we are still staying at the Hyatt in Kauai and are also using our disney timeshare at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego for 2 nights before and then I found the Bellagio in Vegas for $259 per night - I booked that a while ago!

I know this thread is a few weeks old but I just started booking the different legs of my trip and I'm so excited that I want to BUMP it!!!

We are doing one night in Vegas and we pricelined that for a 4 star hotel and we got Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino (formerly the Aladdin).

Then on to Oahu for four nights - we're staying at FH's parents' timeshare in the Hilton Hawaiian Village in a one bedroom suite!

Then on to Maui for four nights, we're staying in the Four Seasons Wailea (this was our big splurge!)

Then on to Kauai for four nights, we're staying at another timeshare location which I'm sorta nervous about b/c it seems a little unknown - it is the Lawai Beach Resort.

Then back to Oahu for one night - staying at the Marriott Beach Resort Waikiki.

Then back to NY!

Re: For all Brides Honeymooning in Hawaii.....

I just booked my trip on thursday.

We booked ourselves and we are staying at the four seasons in maui for 5 nights and then the grand hyatt kauai for 6 nights
I am flying into and out of maui.

Does anyone know how to get from island to island?

Re: For all Brides Honeymooning in Hawaii.....

We are flying in Oahu and staying for 5 days at the Marriot Beach Waikikii too. (Jess...I'll be able to give you a review)

We are then taking the NCL Pride of Aloha around the islands for 7 days. We have read many less than desirable reviews about this ship so we have upgraded to a pretty large suite. We're hoping the extra staff and larger room will help...I guess time will tell. We LOVE Royal Caribean and have never sailed with Norwegian...but unfortunately, the only RC cruises going to Hawaii involve 5 days at sea each way...I want to see Hawaii not the middle of the ocean. So either island hopping on our own or POA is the only way.

Oh...I hear island hopping is pretty cheap and easy in Hawaii. I've 'heard' you can take flights for like $35 between islands. We may decide to do that and just pack an overnight bag and leave our stuff in Oahu and just get another room. We'll see...
