We had a video and it is the one thing that we are glad that we did. Four months after our wedding, DH's uncle was killed and 7 months after our wedding DH's aunt passed away. They were both at our wedding and now when we watch it, DH can see that they were there having a wonderful time.

we didn't pay for a professional videographer... but we had my friends dad do it... he has a brand new digital video camera, so it came out great! and he came to the rehearsal, so that he could see where to stand to get the best shots and stuff.... this way, we have a great video, but didn't have to pay for a pro.... i think its important to have it on tape, because it tells the story differently than the still pics.... but i don't think you need all the fancy editing and stuff that you pay for with the pros...

wow. that is definitely a compelling reason to have one.

My mom recently had our childhood movies put on a DVD and when I watched it, I couldn’t believe how touching it was! And like you said, there were a few people on there like my Grandma who is no longer with us. And I got to see her. That’s what started me thinking about getting a videographer.

Thanks. That is why I always tell B2B who are thinking if they want a videographer or not that they should try and get one. In the long run, it is worth it.
We used Phil & Kate from Bellarino . If you are interested in one, definately contact them.

My FH and I had no intentions of getting a video until one day we were at his sisters. We sat with his neice and nephew as they watched their parents video for the first time. It was so touching that's when we realized that we wanted one. It's something nice to have for your children. I wish my parents had a video (which I know is impossible) but how cool would that be to see them get married. Good luck. JMO

I contemplated with this hiring one for months because of the $$$, but I'm SO glad I did. We were able to see things that we missed and it's always nice to watch years from now and even show your children. IMO, it's totally worth it.

I cannot imaging not having a video. You get to see all the things you missed that day. I never saw everyone else walking down the aisle, cocktail hour or the look on DH face when he saw me for the first time. Our videographer did interviews are priceless. Think twice before skimping on the video.

We didn't and I don't regret it at all. We have a wonderful photographer and MIL took some digital footage of the vows and toasts.

No regrets, but I HATE myself in videos and so does DH.

This is how I feel and for these reasons plus it was great seeing people dancing, etc. While I was on the dance floor I really wasn't looking around watching everyone because I was enjoying myself so much
