What time does your cocktail hour start???? Ours starts at 8:15, now I have some of FH family wondering why so late. But I'm not the only one who is having a late reception, right???

Mine starts at 8! I figured this is a perfect time- I wanted to give the 9-5'ers time to get decked out!

Cause My church is at 4, and My mom is having people come to our house to like hang until the cocktail hour.... And FH grandma was like Oh she's not go to fit everybody in there.....so she worried where their going to go..... Then my FFIL told me not to worry he was going to rent a room at the hotel where the OOT will be, and then they can go to take a nap or just relax b4 the big party...... I'm stressed and it not a year yet....

that was my problem so thats why we're getting married at the RH

hey Stef!!! dont stress! Our CH isnt starting til 8pm... so reception starts at 9 and ends at 1am.... and we just moved it up b/c we are afraid of traffic on a Fri nite in the summer..... it will all work out.... no matter what people are going to complain.... they can suck it up for one night!

my cocktail hour starts @ 7 and its an hour and a 1/2
my church is at 3, CH at 7 and reception at 8. We wanted to make sure there was a little light for pictures at Lands End since there is a great water view and wonderful sunset...that is if we have a nice day !!

My church is at 4pm and my CH starts at 7...but I'm also having a 'hospitality hour' from 6-7 for OOT who have nowhere to go...they can go to Larkfield at 6 and they will be served everything that will be at the CH...I thought that would be good for people since there will be time in between the ceremony and reception. Since we'll be taking pictures we won't be able to entertain anyone...so that worked out!

I'm a Thursday bride, so sort of the same thing as far as guests having time to get ready after work -- We're going to start at 7:30...and our RH lets guests get there about an hour earlier for some champagne and strawberries...
